Adding and customizing colors

Colors help define the look and feel of your presentation an sets the mood for your audience. The color scheme is first created when you choose a template, but it can be changed at any time while editing. You can even create your own custom palette to match your style and brand. Picasso would be jealous.

When choosing a template

When you select a template to start a new presentation, you’re choosing the base for its overall look and feel. You can click on a colored dot in the left sidebar to filter templates according to their theme colors. Once you’ve chosen the template you’d like to use, click Use this template.


Changing the color scheme

Each template comes with a predefined color scheme that complements the look and feel of the presentation. However, you can change the color scheme at any time to give it a different look or add your own custom colors.

1. When in the editor, click the Style button at the top of your screen, then click the Colors icon.

2. Click the three dots (...) next to Colors to open the sidebar. You can also click directly on the Colors thumbnail to automatically refresh the color scheme. 

3. From the "Colors" sidebar, you can:

  • Choose from a variety if predesigned color schemes. 
  • Add colors to create your own custom color scheme.*

Creating a custom color scheme

1. From the "Colors" sidebar, click Add colors at the bottom of your screen. 

2. Enter a name for your new color scheme.

3. Click on the color square next to one of the palette options (color 1, color 2, etc.) to modify it. 

4. Choose from the selection of scheme and global colors, or use the color picker. You can also add a customized color using its hexadecimal code by selecting HEX from the dropdown. 

5. Once finished customizing your palette, click Save scheme.
